Based in Berkeley, California, Jonathan Igharas is a Filipino-American designer working at the intersection of art, objects, and space, having designed products and environments for studios in Vancouver, New York City, and now in San Francisco as Design Prototyping Lead for Thuma.

Over the past 16 years, his personal practice has focused on the subtle yet powerful ways objects and spaces shape human experience, exploring how design can transform everyday interactions into inclusive and meaningful ones.

Moving fluidly between art, craft, and design, he takes a holistic approach—creating human-centered work that is materially grounded, culturally aware, and rooted in the pursuit of thoughtful, multi-sensory experiences.

He is also the founding partner of Misc. Activities, an interdisciplinary art and design studio co-led by Tsēmā. The studio creates site-responsive works within the public realm that integrate sculpture, installation, and ecological and cultural narrative.
